Jean moved heart and home to Steamboat Springs from New England in 1976 . After 5-6 years of fun in the bar/restaurant scene, my preceding college degrees in Social Work reminded me a life-style repurpose was in order. One year leave of absence to Medical Assistant school in Boston lined me back up for 30+ years employed in nursing positions in private practices in Steamboat. The recent past 10 years working in retail continued to provide strong people-to-people connections. I met and married my husband, Dave, in 1996. Routt County community has been generous to us providing a fulfilling, colorful lifestyle. I currently have the privilege serving back by participating on a diverse and dedicated Board of Directors of RCCOA since 2020. Future plans include a commitment to “keep the wheels turning.”
Chris Myers

Read Chris’s Bio
Chris is 72 years old and has a BS degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Geology. I retired in 2017 after a 40 year career as a geologist in the oil business. My wife and I first came to Steamboat in 1980 and in 2008 we built a home in Steamboat Pines. I joined the RCCOA board as treasurer in October of 2023. Being involved in the RCCOA has proven to be a wonderful opportunity to help people in need and give back to the community.
Jim Moylan

Jim moved to Steamboat Springs from Chicago in the summer of 2003. Jim has a national securities and commodity futures litigation practice. In addition, he has a general corporate practice, counseling business owners on: types of business entities, formation of business entities, governing documents and governance, reporting, compliance and best practices. Jim received his BSBA from the University of Denver in 1969. Jim received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Denver, College of Law in December, 1971, (Class of 1972.) Jim began his career in 1972 as a Trial Attorney in the Division of Enforcement at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, (“SEC”) in Washington, D.C. In 1975, Jim joined the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Inc., (“CBOE”), as Assistant General Counsel. In 1977, Jim entered the private practice of law. In addition to his law practice, Jim has been on the Adjunct Faculty at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. Jim is currently on the Adjunct Faculty at his alma mater, the University of Denver, College of Law and has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Para-Legal Program at Colorado Mountain College.
Jim is very involved in the Steamboat Springs community, having served on some City of Steamboat Springs Boards, Commissions and Committees. Jim also serves on the Board of Directors of various Non-Profit Organizations, including Routt County Council on Aging, (“RCCOA”), the Yampa Valley Medical Center Foundation and Jim is also a Rotarian.
Ernie Kish

Read Ernie’s Bio
Ernie and his wife have lived in Steamboat Springs since 2017. Prior to relocating to Steamboat Springs, Ernie held positions in budgeting, financial analysis, and project management in both Fortune 500 companies and the Federal Government. Ernie volunteers at his church where he is on the Finance and the Pastoral Councils. He is also VP on the HOA Board of Directors in his community. Ernie teaches alpine skiing at Steamboat Ski Resort, including the Trailbusters local children’s program and South Routt County children’s program. Ernie joined the RCCOA Board of Directors in October 2024 and is currently on the Finance Committee where he will use his experience in budget development and financial operational analysis.
Andrea Abrahamson

Read Andrea’s Bio
Andrea has been a Routt County resident since 1996 and a member of the Oak Creek community since 2003. She enjoys the great outdoors that surrounds us such as hiking, skiing and fishing. This is her first board to serve on and enjoys the camaraderie as well as the opportunity to support an organization that is vital for our older community. Andrea works as an artist and meditation teacher when she is not out exploring with her husband Mitch and dog Katie.
Carol Baily
Read Carol’s Bio
Carol is a 4th generation native of Colorado. Carol has been a tennis professional for most of her 50 years in Steamboat. In 2000 she was an inaugural inductee into Colorado’s Tennis Hall of Fame. In 2007 she was the 11th woman to be inducted into Colorado’s Sports Hall of Fame. After her tennis career Carol taught Aging Well for NWCOHealth, and a Balance and Physical Conditioning class for seniors at CMC. Now retired Carol enjoys delivering Meals on Wheels, being on the Board of RCCOA, and hiking with her dogs.
Ben Blonder
Read Ben's Bio
Ben has lived with his wife Lindsey, son Henry, daughter Rilyn and doggie Josie in west Steamboat Springs since 2018. Ben delivered Meals on Wheels for RCCOA for years until joining the board in October 2023. Ben has a passion for helping others and volunteering, and comes from an affordable housing advocacy background for many years in Ft Collins on that city’s affordable housing board. Ben started volunteering with M.O.W. kind of randomly, and ended up loving it. He still delivers meals but now on the board of RCCOA has gotten much more involved with fundraising. Ben’s full time job is Realtor and property manager, which he has been doing since 2005.
Larry Handing
Read Larry’s Bio
Larry moved from the Chicago are and became victim of the Yampa Valley Curse in the mid 70’s. As a CPA he began a tax practice that would last nearly 40 years. He met and married Anita 42 years ago and raised twin daughters in Steamboat. He is an active member the Knights of Columbus along with numerous volunteer positions. You will see him running or biking on the mountain trails and skiing on the Nordic trails in the winter.
Nancy Trimmer

After visiting the Yampa Valley multiple times with friends and experiencing the outdoors Routt County has to offer, Nancy moved to Routt County in 1995. She began working at the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation on a part-time basis and soon became the Administrative Assistant to members of the executive team. This allowed her to share her organizational skills while helping co-workers and led to her becoming more engrained in our community. While assisting with the Hazie Werner award committee to champion the leading women in Routt County, she looked forward to what she could contribute in her next stage of Life. In 2020 she began volunteering as a Meals on Wheels driver for Routt County Council on Aging. This allowed her to see the benefits RCCOA provided to the experienced members of our community. Through RCCOA Nancy has become reacquainted with old acquaintances and has made new friendships. You can see Nancy throughout the area enjoying Cycling, Hiking, Skiing, and Camping.
