Meals on Wheels

SOAR is the sole provider of Meals on Wheels in Routt County. We provide freshly prepared, warm, nutritious meals to our Meals on Wheels patrons four days per week in Steamboat, two days per week in Hayden, three days per week in South Routt, and once a week in North Routt.

Meals on Wheels is a community-based service that provides fresh, nutritious meals delivered directly to the homes of older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Routt County. In addition to regularly providing healthy foods, caring volunteers provide social connections that help clients to remain living independently in their own homes.

With the help of Meals on Wheels programs, older adults and people with disabilities get the nourishment and human connection needed to support daily activities, while reducing the need for medical support. For some recipients, these daily meals are the difference between living in their own homes and moving to a nursing home.

Meals on Wheels could not exist without the help of volunteers who deliver the meals and donors who help those who cannot afford to pay for the meals. Learn more today about how you can volunteer or donate.
